These worked as I had hoped. As an older snow boarder with glasses, fog has always been a problem. When I would bend over to do up my bindings I would invariable fog up my glasses/goggles, the little fan took care of me. I would turn it off when I ran the lift and then switched onto "low" when I neared the top. Not sure how long a battery will last, I got two full days out of the single AAA battey, before I changed but it was not dead when I changed it.bk
